Temporary pathways at Miners Welfare Park in Bedworth will close from Wednesday, 16 September for removal, the council has announced.
The temporary routes to the north and east of the Bedworth Physical Activity Hub building are being taken out as permanent path routes across the site are now largely complete.
What to expect during removal
Construction traffic managed by BAM staff will use a crossing point over the main path during the removal period. Vehicle movements and pedestrian flow across the pathway will be overseen by site staff.
Bedworth Parkrun, which previously used the temporary paths, has already switched its route to work around the construction activity.
Future landscape plans
Following the temporary path removal, plans are being discussed to create a permanent park landscape. This would include extensive grass seeding and tree planting activity over the autumn period.
Other upcoming works include the creation of a new permanent car park to the north of the Activity Hub building and installation of artificial football pitches before the end of 2026.
Councillor Bobbie Greenwood, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said the removal of temporary pathways marks an important step toward project completion. She encouraged park visitors to follow signage and cooperate with BAM staff during this period.
