Nuneaton Town FC has five league fixtures scheduled for October after a strong September that saw the club climb from 18th to 6th place on the back of three consecutive wins. The month opens with a rare Saturday home game against Loughborough University Students on 3 October.

Loughborough Students (3 October)

The first meeting between Nuneaton Town and any Loughborough University Students team in 89 years will take place at The Oval on Saturday 3 October. Loughborough arrive on an impressive seven-match unbeaten run in all competitions, winning six of those matches. They sit 12th in the league after September with 3 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats, scoring 19 goals and conceding 13. Kash Kasukumya has already scored 7 goals for the Scholars this season and will be a key target for Nuneaton's defence.

Boston Town (6 October)

Nuneaton host Boston Town on Tuesday 6 October for their second home game in three days. Boston are the reigning United Counties Premier Division North champions and won 2-0 at Bedworth United on 19 September. However, they have managed only two wins since mid-August. Boston sit 8th in the league with 4 wins, 3 draws and 4 defeats, scoring 15 goals and conceding 18. Nuneaton will be seeking revenge for a defeat to Boston in an April Champions match.

Rugby Borough (10 October)

The second Saturday fixture takes Nuneaton to Rugby Borough at the Nationwide Windows Arena, Kilsby Lane, Rugby, CV21 4PN on 10 October. Nuneaton won their first meeting of the season 1-0 in the FA Trophy thanks to a goal from James Armson. Rugby Borough are in their first season as a senior side following Town's relegation last season. After winning their first four matches, they suffered a loss to Nuneaton which sparked a run of five games without a win. Three straight wins followed but three straight defeats have since seen them drop from the top of the table. Rugby currently sit 3rd with 6 wins, 1 draw and 5 defeats, scoring 17 goals and conceding 18. Former Nuneaton players Lathaniel Rowe-Turner and Wes York could feature for Rugby.

Belper Town (17 October)

Belper Town visit The Oval on Saturday 17 October for the first ever competitive meeting between the teams. The only recorded meeting was a friendly in July 2016, which Nuneaton won 6-1. Belper have struggled for form in the opening weeks of the season with no win in their last three matches going into October. Their only away win came with a 3-0 victory at Boston Town on 12 September.
