About Boldmere St Michael's

Boldmere St Michael's were formed in 1883 as a church team for the nearby St Michael's church, and played friendlies against other church teams until joining league football in 1912. The club reached the semi finals of the FA Amateur Cup in 1947-48, losing to Barnet at Highbury in front of 26,000. They hosted the Indian Olympic team ahead of the London Olympics in 1948, losing 1-0.

Boldmere have spent recent decades in the Birmingham, West Midlands and Midland leagues. In 2021-22 they finished runners up in the Midland League Premier and were promoted to the NPL Division 1 South for 2022-23, where they have remained since. Church Road, their home ground since the beginning, has been modernised in recent years with an all-weather pitch and community centre. The ground now hosts a successful women's and youth team alongside the men's first team and Boldmere Rangers.

Boldmere reached the FA Vase 3rd round on seven occasions but have yet to reach the first round of the FA Trophy since promotion to the NPL, with their best effort a 3rd qualifying round run in 2023-24. They have never progressed past the FA Cup 2nd qualifying round.
