About Barwell FC

Barwell FC were formed in 1992 as a merger of Barwell Athletic and Hinckley FC. The club, nicknamed The Canaries after their green and yellow kits, were founder members of the Midland Alliance in 1994. They reached Step 3 after consecutive league wins in 2009-11, and remained there for 15 years until suffering their first relegation last season. This season marks their first in the NPL Division 1 Midlands.

Kirkby Road, the home ground, features a 256-seat main stand installed in 2001 using seats from Filbert Street, Leicester City's former home.
