Nuneaton Town FC face a packed August schedule as they compete in three competitions for the first time this season.
The club returns to the FA Cup and the FA Trophy after a two-season absence from the latter. More significantly, Nuneaton make their debut in the Northern Premier League Division 1 Midlands following two successive league titles and promotions.
August Fixtures
Saturday 8 August: FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round
Nuneaton travel to Westfields in Hereford for their first match. The fixture takes place at Wildmarsh Common, Allpay Park, Hereford, HR4 9NA. Westfields, who play in the Hellenic League Premier Division, have already begun their season with a 2-1 win at Malmesbury Victoria. Michael McGrath, a familiar face to Nuneaton, recently joined the Hereford-based side.
Tuesday 11 August: Northern Premier League Division 1 Midlands
Nuneaton's league campaign begins at home against Mickleover. The Derby-based side finished 15th last season and include former Football League striker Stuart Beavon in their squad, along with Kane Richards and Cieron Keane.
Saturday 15 August: Northern Premier League Division 1 Midlands
Nuneaton travel to Nottingham to face Carlton Town at Bill Stokeld Stadium, Stoke Lane, Gedling, NG4 2QS. Carlton were runners-up last season after Anstey Nomads overhauled their lead.
Tuesday 18 August: Northern Premier League Division 1 Midlands
The club travel to Rushden to face AFC Rushden & Diamonds at Hayden Road, Rushden, Northamptonshire, NN10 0HX. AFC Rushden & Diamonds are the fan-owned phoenix club of the former Rushden & Diamonds, now in their fourth season at Step 4. They currently share a ground with Rushden & Higham United.
Nuneaton have completed a strong pre-season, with both returning players and new signings ready for the campaign.
