Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery is hosting free Victorian-themed activities during October half-term, with drop-in craft sessions and a duck trail hunt for families.
Two Make 'n' Take craft sessions run on Thursday, 29 October and Friday, 30 October. On Thursday, children can make a pop-up chimney sweep. On Friday, they can create their own Victorian mask. Both sessions are free, with no booking required.
How to take part
Families can drop in between 10:30am and 1:00pm, or 1:30pm and 3:30pm on either day. Each activity takes approximately 20 minutes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The museum may ask visitors to wait during busy periods.
The duck trail
The museum's mischievous ducks, which have escaped from Riversley Park, are hidden throughout the building. Some have dressed up in disguises. Visitors who find them all can earn a duck sticker.
What else is on
The museum also features an impressive selection of textiles and paintings by local artists, a Local History Gallery, and exhibitions about the life and work of George Eliot.
The tearoom and gift shop are open Thursday to Saturday, from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Admission to the museum is free, though donations are welcomed.
