Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery at Riversley Park will host a celebration of local talent on Saturday, 5 September, to coincide with the festival of Nuneaton.
Larry Grayson memorabilia and new exhibitions
The museum will display a collection of personal objects, photographs and scrapbooks connected to local comedy star Larry Grayson. These items will be available for visitors to handle and examine for one day only in the Museum's meeting space.
A new exhibition by the Bulkington Art Group will also launch on the day. This will sit alongside current exhibitions including Maurice Collins' collection of Ingenious Gadgets and Abstract Art by local artist Carrie Boal.
Arts activities and partner organisations
Young visitors can take part in arts sessions to make pipe cleaner creepy crawlies.
The museum will host stalls from arts and culture organisations in 'Our Picture Gallery'. Confirmed participants include Art Alert, Festival of Arts Nuneaton, North Warwickshire Family History Society, Heritage Culture Warwickshire, Art in Action, and Warwickshire Libraries.
Cllr Bobbie Greenwood, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said: "Nuneaton is home to some amazing talent, and it's great to see Museum & Art Gallery giving these local stars the recognition they deserve once again."
